  1. Thank you for this mystery quilt along. I watched the video a little bit ago, printed off the instructions and schedule. So timely as I have some 2 1/2" bright squares from a project I finished at the end of February that I hadn't figured out what to do with yet!!

  2. I read that we need an accent fabric. Do you have suggestions? If using solids or tone on tone for the brights, would a print be appropriate?

Fish Tail Challenge

? GOT SCRAPS?? - I know you do, so here is my Summer Quilt Challenge for you! Use up some of your colorful scraps: 3-1/2", 2-1/2, and 2" squares to make a Fish Tail Quilt. Here are some images to get you inspired and started. I will post the approximate number of squares needed for a 30" x 30" and 30" x 40" quilt in the comments.- so who wants to play? Check below for the recommended number and sizes for the quilt. Challenge:   Come up with an original way to let your fish swim .  The design is basic and works well in a mock-up so you can plan your colors. Plan on using these Scraps for a 30" x 30" or 30" x 40" quilt: background squares 100 - 3-1/2” squares 100 - 2” squares, folded in half to make folded triangles to form the fish body. colorful scrappy squares 50 - 3-1/2” squares for the fish body 50 - 2-1/2” squares for the tail
